Our Mission Statement:

It is the mission of the Fredericksburg Religious Freedom Alliance to promote a full understanding and appreciation of the breadth and everlasting importance of Thomas Jefferson’s Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom, and the significance of Fredericksburg as the place of the Statute’s origin.

Goals:
Note: These may evolve over time

To enhance public awareness of  the history of religious freedom in the United States and around the world, and particularly the role of Thomas Jefferson’s Bill for Establishing Religious Freedom

To sponsor public events celebrating Jefferson’s Bill and religious freedom

To encourage and support the Knights of Columbus and other groups with related interests in their endeavors celebrating religious freedom

To encourage and support maintainance and revitalization of Fredericksburg’s Religious Freedom Monument and surrounding area

To encourage and promote research and historic signage at the Religious Freedom Monument and the downtown site of Weedon’s Tavern 

To maintain a central repository of information, articles, opinions, and images related to religious freedom
